Masonry to Pipe Conversion Repair
Is the outside of your chimney crumbling away? Freezing, thawing and Tahoe snow break down brick, block and stone until pieces start to fall. Instead of paying to rebuild the masonry, we can remove the damaged chimney and convert it to an insulated stainless steel pipe system that is sealed against the weather and built to last.

When the Masonry Is Beyond Repair
Water soaks into brick and block, freezes, and pushes the mortar and masonry apart a little more every winter. Repointing and crown repairs can buy time, but they have to be repeated, and a full rebuild costs far more while facing the same freeze and thaw cycle. When the chimney has reached the point of crumbling, converting it to pipe is often the smarter repair.
How the Conversion Works
We take down the failing masonry and set an anchor plate over the flue. An insulated, factory-built stainless steel chimney is stacked on it to the proper height, then flashed, covered with stainless steel and finished with a cap. The photos above show chimneys before and after the conversion.
