Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 22, 2026

This policy explains what personal information Lion Path Inc., doing business as Tahoe Chimney & Fireplace ("TCF," "we," "us"), collects through tahoestoves.com, app.tahoestoves.com, our booking and payment pages, our phone and text lines, our website chat, and when we do work at your home. It applies to customers and visitors in California, Nevada and anywhere else.

1. Information we collect

  • Contact details: name, service address, mailing address, email, and phone numbers.
  • Job details: the appliances, fireplaces and chimneys at your property, access notes (such as gate or lockbox codes you choose to give us), photos and videos our crew takes during service, inspection and service reports, estimates, invoices and service history.
  • Payment information: card payments are handled by our payment processors. We do not keep full card numbers on our own systems. We keep payment records such as amount, date, method and the last 4 digits of a card.
  • Communications: emails, text messages, voicemails, call recordings and website chat transcripts. Our website chat and some phone or text lines may use an automated (AI) assistant, which will tell you it is automated, and these conversations may be recorded and stored.
  • Online store and account information: if you create an account or order products, your order history, shipping details and account login information.
  • Membership records: if you join our Spring-Summer Care Plan, your plan selection, the terms you agreed to, your consent to automatic renewal, the notices we send you, and your cancellation or refund requests.
  • Device and usage information: like most websites, our site and its hosting providers automatically receive information such as IP address, browser type, pages visited and the date and time of visits, and use cookies needed for the site, the shopping cart and login to work. We may also use analytics tools that set cookies to help us understand how the site is used.

2. How we use it

  • To schedule, perform, document and bill for service, installation and repair work.
  • To answer your questions, send estimates, appointment confirmations, reminders, service reports and receipts.
  • To run membership plans, including sending renewal and price-change notices required by law and processing charges you authorized.
  • To process orders and payments and prevent fraud.
  • To send offers and news about our services. You can opt out at any time (see section 5).
  • To keep records of the work done at your property, to honor warranties, and to meet legal, tax, licensing and insurance requirements.
  • To improve our website, services and training.

3. Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with others for their own marketing. We share it only with:

  • Service providers who help us run the business under agreements to protect it, such as our scheduling and field-service software, website and online-store host, payment processors, email, phone and text messaging providers, chat and AI assistant providers, cloud storage, and accountants.
  • Equipment manufacturers and distributors when needed to order parts, register a product or handle a warranty claim for you.
  • Government agencies and others when required by law, such as permits, inspections, a court order, or to protect the rights and safety of you, our crew or others.
  • A buyer or successor if our business is sold or reorganized, subject to this policy.

4. How long we keep it

Service, job and property records are kept for as long as we serve your property and afterward, because chimney and appliance history matters for safety, warranties and future work. Membership, consent, notice, payment and chat records are kept indefinitely so we can show what you agreed to and what we sent you. You may ask us to delete information we are not required to keep (see section 6).

5. Your choices about emails and texts

  • Email: every marketing email has an unsubscribe link. Service and membership notices (such as appointment and renewal notices) are not marketing and will still be sent while you are a customer or member.
  • Text messages: we send marketing texts only if you agreed to receive them. Reply STOP to stop texts and HELP for help. Message and data rates may apply. Agreeing to texts is never required to buy anything. We do not share mobile numbers or text consent with third parties for their marketing.
  • Cookies: you can block or delete cookies in your browser; some parts of the site (cart, login) may not work without them.

6. Your rights

You may ask us to tell you what personal information we have about you, to correct it, or to delete it (except what we must keep for legal, tax, warranty or contract reasons). To make a request, email patrick@tahoestoves.com or call (530) 414-7600. We may need to confirm your identity first. We will not treat you differently for making a request.

California residents: under California's "Shine the Light" law (Civil Code §1798.83) you may ask whether we shared personal information with third parties for their direct marketing in the past year. We do not do so. If the California Consumer Privacy Act applies to us in the future, we will update this policy with those rights.

Nevada residents: we do not sell covered information as defined in NRS 603A. You may still send us a request not to sell your information at patrick@tahoestoves.com, and we will honor it.

7. Do Not Track

Our website does not currently respond to browser "Do Not Track" signals. We do not allow third parties to collect information about your online activity across other websites over time through our site, except as part of the analytics described in section 1.

8. Security

We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information, including access controls and trusted providers. No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your information, we will notify you as the law requires.

9. Children

Our services are for homeowners and property managers. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

10. Links to other sites

Our site links to other sites such as Yelp, manufacturers and payment pages. Their privacy policies, not this one, apply there.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. We will post the new version here with a new effective date. If a change materially affects how we use information we already have, we will tell customers by email or on this site.
